Co-Chair:      Marietta Shipley

Marietta Shipley is president of The Mediation Group of Tennessee, Nashville, and is a Rule 31 Listed Family and Civil Mediator. Prior to forming The Mediation Group, Marietta was Circuit Court Judge for 16 years in Davidson County. Her areas of practice include business dissolutions, child custody & parenting plans, contracts, divorce, employment, environmental, personal injury, probate and estates and professional liability.

Co-Chair:      Jan Walden

Jan has been a family and divorce mediator for the past 15 years and has sucessfully mediated hundreds of cases. Her focus is on assisting parties in decreasing the financial and emotional cost of resolving divorce and parenting plan issues. Jan often works with couples prior to their retaining attorneys, so that in the event they reach agreement there can be an uncontested divorce upon one or both retaining an attorney to process their agreements through the Court. Jan also works with unmarried parents, post-divorce parenting issues including child support, and as a Parenting Coordinator in high conflict divorce/post divorce situations.
