Public Education and Marketing Committee

Mission Statement: The goal of the Public Education and Marketing Committee is to raise public awareness and market demand for TAPM members and to provide resources to TAPM members to improve their professional success.

Chair – Lauri Chaudoin, J.D.

Lauri has more than a decade of experience in corporate law, with an emphasis on labor and employment and construction law.   Much of her experience was gained while serving as Assistant General Counsel and Director of Public Relations for a major aggregates company.  Lauri began her mediation career in 2003, as a volunteer for Nashville Conflict Resolution Center.  In 2008, Lauri began her own legal and mediation practice, ChaudoinLaw, to help both businesses and individuals find focused legal solutions.  She earned her J.D. at Vanderbilt University School of Law, and her B.A. in Communications at Belmont University. Prior to attending law school, Lauri was Associate Producer of News at Nashville’s NBC affiliate, WSMV.

Vice Chair-  Larry Bridgesmith, J.D.

Larry has practiced labor and employment law for over 30 years and has worked with businesses and employers to create effective, efficient and respectful workplace environments in many industries, primarily health care.  He is a Rule 31 listed mediator and has worked with organizational clients to design dispute resolution systems, train employees and managers and facilitate dynamic groups in planning and problem solving.  Larry is the Executive Director and holds the Randy and Rhonda Lowry Chair for Conflict Management at Lipscomb University and is also Of Counsel to the law firm of Miller & Martin, PLLC.  He is the past Treasurer and President-elect of the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators.

Sandy Arons

Sandy has 25 years of sales/marketing/management experience and has consistently ranked within the top 10% of sales reps nationwide.  This experience, coupled with her MBA and certification as a Financial Divorce Practitioner provides her with a unique combination of skills to assist her clients at Arons & Associates Divorce Planning.  Sandy and her associates have spent years working with and helping women and men make informed choices, at a time when they are making the most important financial decisions of their lives.

Kregg Nance

With 30 years experience in the music and entertainment field and all the conflict that arises from “creative differences”, Kregg decided to seize the opportunity provided by the masters program at Lipscomb University’s Institute for Conflict Management and expand his career horizon.  For the past 2 years, Kregg has been a Rule 31 Listed Civil Mediator and been mediating for Sumner Mediation Services, Nashville Conflict Resolution Center and Tennessee Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.

Tina Benson

Tina Benson, a student at Lipscomb's Institute for Conflict Management, is a former non-profit executive, corporate writer and editor, investigative journalist, and newspaper editor. Her current interest is in family mediation.

Marietta Shipley

Marietta Shipley is president of The Mediation Group of Tennessee, Nashville, and is a Rule 31 Listed Family and Civil Mediator.   Prior to forming The Mediation Group, Marietta was Circuit Court Judge for 16 years in Davidson County.   Her areas of practice include business dissolutions, child custody & parenting plans, contracts, divorce, employment, environmental, personal injury, probate and estates and professional liability.  Marietta is a founding member of TAPM and served as its President from 2007-2008. 

 

Leigh Ann Roberts

Leigh Ann Roberts draws from her years of legal practice in both the public, private and nonprofit sectors. She has mediated for many parties in Tennessee courts helping them reach resolutions which greatly enhance their lives and their communities. Mrs. Roberts provides mediation services for many types of disputes, including cases involving medical/insurance claim disputes, construction cases, property disputes, neighbor & landlord/tenant disputes, contractual claims, employment disputes and conflicts within religious organizations and community groups.   She is a partner of Papa and Roberts, PLLC, of Brentwood, TN, and is Certified Rule 31 Civil Mediator.
