After 20 years representing public and private sector organizations in employment, labor relations and public policy disputes, Mark formed ADR Specialists, LLC. Mark concentrates his practice in mediation and other forms of ADR, including arbitration, fact-finding and facilitation, in a variety of subject matter areas, including employment, labor relations, environmental and public policy. Additionally, Mark performs ADR system design consultation for public and private sector entities.
Mark currently serves on the panels of the American Arbitration Association, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the National Arbitration Forum, and the American Health Lawyers Association. Additionally, Mark has served as Grievance Mediation Coordinator for the Tennessee Labor-Management Center. He has also served as chair of the Dispute Resolution Section of the Tennessee Bar Association, is a founding member of the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators, and is listed on CPR’s Panel of Distinguished Neutrals.

Background
Mark’s prior employment law practice involved representation of employers in litigation and administrative proceedings involving federal and state claims of discrimination, harassment and retaliation arising under equal employment opportunity statutes, as well as common law claims arising out of employment. His labor relations practice involved representation of employers in collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, and proceedings before National Labor Relations Board; and his public policy practice centered on zoning, inverse condemnation, environmental and natural resource disputes and compliance. Mark has served as an adjunct professor of Human Resources Law, Conflict Management and Negotiation, and Environmental Law at Tennessee Technological University. He has also served as an adjunct professor of Employment Dispute Resolution at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine University School of Law.

Education/Training
Mark received his law degree from the University of Louisville and his Master of Laws in Dispute Resolution from the prestigious Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine University School of Law. In addition to his training at Pepperdine, Mark has completed mediation and/or arbitration training at the Cornell School of Industrial and Labor Relations-Institute for Conflict Resolution, the National Arbitration Forum, the American Health Lawyers Association, the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, the American Arbitration Association, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the Mediation Research and Education Project at Northwestern University School of Law.

Fee Information
$250.00 per hour. Hourly rate includes study time. No charge for time spent in necessary travel.
