Background
Joseph G. Jarret is an attorney and Rule 31 Listed Civil Mediator currently serving Knox County as its Chief Deputy and who recently served Polk County Florida, as its Chief Legal Counsel. He is a former United States Army Combat Arms Officer who licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Florida. He holds the Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, from Troy State University (W. Germany Campus) the Masters in Public Administration from Central Michigan University, the Juris Doctor from Stetson Law School, and a Graduate Certificate in Public Management from the University of South Florida. Jarret has published over 85 articles in various professional journals and has presented blocks of instruction on behalf of mediators for which they received Continuing Mediation Credits. For the last fives years he has been on the faculty of the Florida Supreme Court, Alternative Dispute Resolution Center, and his most recent published work appeared in ADR News, published by the Tennessee Dispute Resolution Commission.
