Dan’s mediation practice is primarily focused on construction, purchasing and contract disputes, to include public and private entities. He is designated as a Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator by the Tennessee Commission on Alternative Dispute Resolution, of the Tennessee Supreme Court, 2005 to date, and he is a founding member of the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators.

Background Dan has over 30 years of service with the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, primarily in Purchasing and Contract Management, and Contract Negotiations. As well, he served as Metro Government’s City Auditor for eight years working on many highly visible audits which involved working with the U.S. Justice Department, Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS, FBI and TBI. The Mayor of Nashville appointed Dan as Finance Officer overseeing the financial interests in the construction of the Nashville Arena (GEC), and the Titans Coliseum. Dan has participated as a key player in more than $775 million dollars in construction contracts for Metro. Dan was awarded the Purple Heart among other commendations for his military service in the 4th Infantry Division in South Vietnam. Education/Training Dan received his Juris Doctorate (JD)degree in 1975 from the Nashville School of Law and his BS Degree in 1969 from Lambuth University. He holds inactive status as a Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Government Financial Manager. Dan is an occassional instructor for Lorman Education Services, speaking in the area of government construction mediation and negotiations. He received his original mediation training from Jean Munroe and Associates. Fee Information Rates for mediation negotiable.
