Nashville TN mediator Margaret M. Huff ("Marnie Huff") has more than 30 years of experience as an attorney. She has an "AV" peer rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating given for legal ability and ethical standards in the attorney peer review process. She is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator and a certified Better Business Bureau arbitrator. She is on the ADR panels for the U.S. District Courts for the Middle District and the Eastern District of Tennessee. She is a Certified Trainer of Managing Workplace Conflict (certified by the Mediation Training Institute International).

Marnie Huff is Co-Chair of the Ethics Committee of the American Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section and Chair of the Ethics Education Track for the 2010 annual conference of the ABA Dispute Resolution Section. She is a member of the Executive Committee and Past Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section. She is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution's Workplace Section.

Ms. Huff has a full time ADR practice, providing services to businesses, individuals and non-profit organizations in Middle Tennessee.

Background
Ms. Huff is frequently invited to speak on ADR topics, including appellate mediation and mediation ethics. She moderated an ethics CLE program at the 2007 American Bar Association annual meeting in San Francisco. In 2006, she spearheaded formation of the Tennessee Coalition for Mediation Awareness, dedicated to increasing public awareness of mediation and other forms of dispute resolution across Tennessee. She is a Founding Member of the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators (TAPM) and served as the first Chair of TAPM's Membership Services and Web Site Committee. She is a member of the Nashville Bar Association ADR, Appellate Practice and Bankruptcy Committees, Lawyers' Association for Women in Nashville, and Tennessee Lawyers' Association for Women. She is a member and past Chair of the NBA Attorney Health and Wellness Committee. She is past Board Vice-President of the Nashville Conflict Resolution Center. Her state and federal govenment service includes: judicial law clerkships at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, at the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals, for a U.S. Magistrate Judge in the Middle District of Tennessee; Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee; and Assistant Attorney General for the State of Tennessee (Tax Division). She served as a Chapter 7 bankruptcy panel trustee.
