Background
Marnie Huff is Co-Chair of the Ethics Committee of the American Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section and Immediate Past Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section. She was the moderator for an ethics CLE program at the August 2007 American Bar Association annual meeting in San Francisco. She is frequently invited to speak on ADR topics, including appellate mediation and mediation ethics. In 2006, she spearheaded formation of the Tennessee Coalition for Mediation Awareness, dedicated to increasing public awareness of mediation and other forms of dispute resolution across the State. She is a Founding Member of the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators (TAPM) and served as the first Chair of TAPM's Membership Services and Web Site Committee. She is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, Nashville Bar Association ADR, Appellate Practice and Bankruptcy Committees, Lawyers' Association for Women in Nashville, and Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women. She is Chair of the NBA Attorney Health and Wellness Committee. She is past Board Vice-President of the Nashville Conflict Resolution Center and serves as a mentor for volunteer mediators at the NCRC. Her state and federal govenment service includes: judicial law clerkships at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, at the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals, for a U.S. Magistrate Judge in the Middle District of Tennessee; Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee; and Assistant Attorney General for the State of Tennessee (Tax Division). She served as a Chapter 7 bankruptcy panel trustee.
